We asked Paul to help us with the renovation of an ex‐Council police house semi with the brief to turn our dilapidated “sow’s ear” into a “silk purse” by adding extensions to the property and completely renovating the existing to make an energy efficient home. He produced ideas and drawings that really impressed us. Paul has seen the project through from its conception to the end. Briefly including: design, production of detailed drawings, applying for planning and building regulation approval, invitation to tender, tender analysis, drawing up the building contract, appointing our chosen builder, monitoring the work, liaising with the builder through each and every stage, and much more! As well as Paul having extensive and detailed knowledge of buildings, building regulations and planning requirements, we consider him to be a magnificent architect in his designs. Having met with us a few times to ascertain what it was we wanted from the new home, he produced a design that almost took our breath away! We decided there and then to go with the external look he proposed, without him having to ‘tweak’ it in any way. He then spent many hours helping us to get the internal layout and proportions just right, before submission to planning. We cannot praise him enough. His work and work rate on our behalf has always been totally professional and extensive. He has gone the extra mile for us many, many times and our questions (we’ve had hundreds!) were always speedily answered. We would recommend to any potential client that they don’t just appoint Paul up to planning stage but for the whole project. We have, and Paul has guided us through many difficult and potentially problematic stages of the whole project, undoubtedly preserving our sanity in the process. I found ADS through Google, always a bit dubious using companies without being recommended though I was in a position where I needed architectural drawings being produced in a very tight time frame. Paul was very obliging and even though my requirements were demanding he met the deadline with fantastic results. Producing drawings from which planning permission was given to extend my property Before work started we purchased a second property and Paul was the obvious choice for an architect. Again great ideas, through to drawings and we are excitedly seeing his design come to fruition. Service and quality rarely found with a very reasonable price too.
